Arc Ontario Employment and Training Center Featured on Good Day Rochester

The ARC Ontario is expanding its services by offering employment training program for mentally disabled people.

The nonprofit organization serves thousands of residents in the Finger Lakes area, providing housing, health services, family support, and working opportunities. Brian Webb, Transition Coordinator for The ARC Ontario and participant Logan Kelly join ARC Rochester to preview some benefits the program has to offer.
Finding employment for anyone is difficult especially those with disabilities. This employment camp allows participants to explore new interests, hone their working skills, and to build a better life for themselves. Students focus on practicing communication, teamwork, time management and problem-solving skills to prepare them for the real world.

The ARC Ontario uses virtual reality technology for students to experience different jobs and tasks, along with preparing them for the hiring and interview process.
